Meet Our Staff

Marty Turner became the sole owner of Sandbergen Insurance on November 15, 2012. He changed the agency name to “The Turner Insurance Advisor Group, Inc.”

Marty had been with the former Sandbergen Insurance for 15 years and started with the humblest of beginnings and no experience.

He worked his way through the agency and eventually became the top commercial insurance producer within the agency. Hard work, dedication and honesty have allowed Marty a wonderful opportunity to serve Tampa Bay and the company’s valued clients for so many years. Standing on the pillars of hard work and educating the public about the importance of properly insuring your assets, Marty also ensures his employees have up-to-date education, and provides a mentoring environment to every employee in his agency. He specializes in Association insurance coverage, but has the education and extensive knowledge to insure even the most difficult situations.

Lisa is also an owner, and the wife of Marty.

Lisa has 19 years of office management experience, and implements new and efficient business practices to provide our clients with outstanding customer care.
Lisa and Marty have been married 30 fantastic years, and work together every day; and truly enjoy it.
Lisa and Marty have 2 beautiful daughters, a spoiled granddaughter, and 2 of the World’s Best (even more spoiled than the granddaughter) Boston Terriers!

Kristen has been in the Insurance industry for over 7 years.
Kristen has assisted 100’s of clients, and offers each client individual guidance with her extensive knowledge in Personal Lines coverage including – home, flood, auto, umbrella, and special lines for the state of Florida. She is very patient and a great listener, and gives each client outstanding attention.
Kristen also works directly with mortgage brokers and real estate agents to ensure that the necessary insurance is in place for loan closings.
10 months into Kristen’s employment with Turner Insurance she was promoted to Personal Lines Department Manager.
Kristen’s next goal- an Insurance Agency of her own.

Megan has been with The Turner Insurance Advisor Group since 2018 and is a significant team member in the Personal Lines department.
Megan has provided Outstanding customer care to 100’s of clients over the years and continues to increase her knowledge so she can effectively assist her clients in understanding their insurance options.
Megan enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience with each client and looks forward to providing her clients with many more years of excellent customer service.

Tami was invited to join The Turner Insurance Advisor Group in 2023 after working most of her life in managerial positions, providing dynamic customer service to 100’s of Tampa Bay Area residents.
Tami’s enthusiasm to learn and utilize her customer care skills made her a perfect fit for the Personal Lines Account Manager.
Tami has become an integral part of The Turner Insurance Advisor Group Personal Lines Team and strives to keep herself updated and educated on the ever-changing insurance industry so she can ensure each client she works with has the knowledge needed to make informed decisions regarding their individual insurance needs.

Kristin steps into the position of Commercial Lines Account Manager, after working 2 years with Turner Insurance Advisor Group as the Bookkeeper.
Kristin’s desire to have a career in the Insurance industry, lead her to become a licensed agent, and we were excited to move her into the demanding position of Commercial Lines Account Manager.
Kristin has already proven she has what it takes to be successful as a Commercial Lines Account Manager, and her persistence to succeed and commitment to provide clients with Outstanding Service has already made her a welcome addition to the Commercial Lines Department & Kristin is also leading her team as the Commercial Lines Department Manager.

Skip started his successful career at the former Sandbergen Insurance with no experience in Commercial Insurance.  He worked alongside Marty, and quickly excelled in the Commercial Insurance Department. Skip has built a strong foundation with his Commercial Clients.  Skip’s goal is to ensure that each Commercial Client is insured properly; based on their specific individual needs, which has helped him grow his Commercial Client accounts, and retain many happy clients annually.

Matt joined the The Turner Insurance Advisor Group Team in 2021, after he decided to embark on a career that would challenge him and offer long term job security.
Matt jumped into the Commercial Lines Account Manager position with no experience, and quickly established a strong professional rapport with our Commercial Clients.
Our Commercial Clients work with Matt daily and trust him to provide them with answers and solutions to their specific needs.
Matt continues to excel and has become an essential part of the Commercial Department, and to the agency.

Michele joined The Turner Insurance Advisor Group in 2023 and brings her vast customer care skills to work as a Team member in the Commercial Lines department as the Commercial Lines Account Manager.
After receiving her Insurance License Michele eagerly began learning the intricate world of insurance.
Michele has polished her skills and knowledge and has become a vital part of the Commercial Lines Team.
Michele is ready to assist our Commercial clients with kindness, patience and an outstanding level of customer service.
